Formula / calculation logic
Difference in days = End date − Start date. Weeks = Days ÷ 7.

The result measures elapsed time between the dates. If your business process counts both the start and end dates, adjust according to that rule.

Are both dates included?
The result is elapsed time, so a date compared with itself is 0 days.
Can the end date be earlier?
No. The calculator asks you to use an end date on or after the start date.
