How to use the Electricity Cost Calculator
Enter appliance power in watts, hours used per day, number of days and your electricity price per kWh.
Formula / calculation logic
Energy (kWh) = Watts ÷ 1000 × Hours/day × Days. Estimated cost = kWh × Rate per kWh.
Worked example
A 1,000 W appliance used 2 hours/day for 30 days consumes about 60 kWh. At 0.20 per kWh, the energy portion costs about 12.
