How to use the Required Marks Calculator
Enter marks already earned, the marks available so far, the marks still remaining and your target overall percentage.
Formula / calculation logic
Required remaining marks = Target % × (Current total + Remaining total) − Marks already earned.
Worked example
If you have 70 out of 80, 20 marks remain and your target is 80%, you need 10 of the remaining 20 marks.
Important notes
If the required marks exceed the marks still available, the target is reported as unreachable rather than shown as a valid score.
