How to use the Working Hours Calculator
Enter shift start, shift end and break duration. Overnight shifts are supported so an end time earlier than the start can be treated as the next day.
Formula / calculation logic
Working time = Shift duration − Break duration.
Worked example
09:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute break equals 8 working hours.

The result is elapsed working time, not an interpretation of labor law, paid-break rules or payroll rounding.

What if the break is longer than the shift?
