How to use the Attendance Calculator
Enter classes attended, total classes held and an optional target. The tool shows current attendance and, when possible, how many consecutive classes you need to attend to reach the target.
Formula / calculation logic
Attendance % = Attended ÷ Total × 100. Required future classes are solved from (Attended + x) ÷ (Total + x) ≥ Target.
Worked example
75 attended out of 100 is 75%. To reach 80%, you would need 25 additional consecutive attended classes.
Important notes
If the target is mathematically unreachable under the stated assumptions, the calculator says so instead of returning an invalid count.
Frequently asked questions
Why can 100% be impossible after a missed class?
Once total classes exceed attended classes, attending future classes can approach 100% but cannot exactly restore 100%.
Does it predict future absences?
No. The required count assumes you attend every additional class in the calculation.
